
He has responsibility for leading the company’s efforts developing opportunities for future business across all NASA and DoD advanced space and launch centers and programs, with a primary emphasis on NASA Marshall Space Flight Center customer relations and business development.
Chris has been with AR for over 32 years in various aspects of the large rocket propulsion system business. He joined the company in 1984 as a development engineer on the Space Shuttle Alternate Turbopump program and has subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility since that time, including the Engine Systems lead for ULA’s Atlas V program, managing engine development and certification activities in Moscow, Russia. Later, he was the Engine Systems lead over both Atlas RD-180 & NASA 2GRLV COBRA programs for AR.
In 2005, Sanders joined the business development organization supporting the integration of heritage Rocketdyne and Pratt & Whitney businesses and in 2012 Chris assumed his current role as Director, Strategy & Business Development for Advanced Space & Launch Programs.
Sanders graduated with a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Auburn - Auburn, Alabama, in 1984.
